Joanne Casey (Mrs. Amanda Dane) has spent the last 4 seasons acting, writing and producing for No Shame Theatre, at The Powerhouse Theatre, right here in Santa Monica. She recently was accepted as a member of the prestigious Acme Comedy Theatre, and will be writing and performing in one of their companies starting this fall. Joanne is excited to be working with such a talented cast and crew, and is extremely grateful to Chris for casting her in such a juicy part.

David Graham (Charlie Cowart) is a native of AtlantaGA who has come to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of being poor and hungry. In the actor’s tradition, he has drifted from here to there and had many jobs – including BMW salesman and gravedigger. You may have seen David as Henry in the Little Fish Theater’s production of The Lion in Winter or as Axel in Long Beach Playhouse’s production of The Nerd.  He directed Romeo and Juliet for Shakespeare by the Sea in 2003, The Merchant of Venice and The Taming of the Shrew in 2007, and was delighted (and possibly a little insane) to return to SBTS in the 2008 season to direct both Antony and Cleopatra and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  His other credits include The Fantasticks, As You Like It, The Pirates of Penzance, Deathtrap, and She Loves Me.

Seth Menachem (David Dane) recently won Best Comedy at the Los Angeles Independent Television Festival for Partners, a spec TV pilot he wrote and starred in which has just been optioned by Starz.  Seth has been seen on stage at the Long Beach Playhouse in Biloxi Blues, and on TV in such shows as Las VegasKing of QueensBoston Public, and American Dreams.  When not on a TV show, you can usually catch him during the commercial break hawking some kind of fast food or beer.  He found out way too late that this play is not a comedy.

Maria Pasquarelli (Julia Heart) is a graduate of the USC School of Theatre and a native of Pittsburgh, PA, where she began acting and dancing at a young age. Since graduating from USC, Maria has worked in theater throughout Los Angeles artistically, educationally and administratively. Los Angeles theater credits include Ampelisca in The Rope, Jessica in The Merchant of Venice, Dixon in Soldiers Don’t Cry, and Foible in The Way of the World. She also had the incredible, amazing, and life-changing experience of traveling to Germany with ICAP to perform as Woman #3 in Night Breath at the PlayOff 2006 international theatre festival held in honor of the 2006 World Cup.

Lane Wray (Adam Dane) made last theatre appearance on this very stage as Doc Porter in Crimes Of The Heart.  Before that he played Tom in the Torrance Theatre Company’s production of The Glass Menagerie.  Lane has been in LA for two years now having moved here from New York.  NYC credits include Hamlet and Romeo, several national tours and some independent film.  He thanks Chris and Betsy for a great opportunity.
